Dates and Location
Plan to meet 7-9 July 2022 with your Mathsport friends at the Rendezvous Hotel, located at 300 Flinders Street, just a few doors from where we met in 2016, and across from Flinders Station in the Melbourne downtown area near Federation Square and the MCG. You will hear from keynote speakers and we will hold in person talks there on Thursday 7 July and Friday 8 July. We will project a few recorded Zoom talks for those that cannot attend. Information about recording Zoom talks will be available. We will be closely following COVID health issues to ensure your safety.
Activities
For each of the two days of talks, 7-8 July, your conference fee will include coffee/tea and snacks before we start, at the morning break and at the afternoon break as well as lunch. A conference dinner is planned for 8 July so everyone will have plenty of chance to socialize and exchange ideas. We are planning to attend an AFL game at the MCG on 9 July.
Keynote Speakers
Adrian Schembri, a clinical psychologist and sports analyst, will speak on mental health in sports. Tim Nevile will speak regarding his extensive experience providing matchday coaching and feedback to AFL umpires.

The conference fees are shown below. There is no fee for those who could not attend and wanted their Zoom talks projected.

Topics for the Conference
The conference will cover, but is not limited to, the following topics of interest to sports scientists, mathematicians, statisticians, coaches and athletes. The term “sport” is interpreted liberally here and includes games and pastimes, gambling, general fitness and health-related activities.

Abstracts were sent to Raystefani@aol.com and reviewed by Ray Stefani and Adrian Schembri. The 2022 Abstracts Book is available here.
Proceedings
The 1 May due date has passed. For future reference, for live or online talks, the template for Proceedings papers is available here. Papers are limited to ten pages. When you are finished, you do not number the pages. You save your paper as a pdf file, with your last name included first in the file name. Papers were sent to Raystefani@aol.com and reviewed by Ray Stefani and Adrian Schembri. The 2022 Proceedings is available here.

Business Meeting
Sam Robertson chaired the ANZIAM Mathsport 2022 business meeting. The group agreed to forward to the Executive Committee applications by David Carey for La Trobe University and by Dan Dwyer for Deakin University to host the ANZIAM Mathsport 2024 meeting.
The group agreed to fill six of the seven seats on the Executive Committee with: Anthony Bedford (Chair), Ray Stefani (Secretary), Darren O’Shaughnessy (Treasurer) and with Members Paul Bracewell, Robert Nguyen and Sam Roberston. The remaining seat will be filled by David Carey or Dan Dwyer, depending on which university is chosen to host in 2024.
The Executive Committee subsequently chose La Trobe to host in 2024, adding David Carey to the Executive Committee.
