The School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne is advertising up to three continuing positions in applied mathematics at the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level, with deadline 5th October 2026.

We encourage applications from those who will enhance the scope of applied mathematics in the school, particularly those who work on methods and/or applications that broaden or deepen the school’s strengths. We are specifically seeking to build capacity in the development and use of foundational applied mathematics techniques and data driven applied mathematics. Moreover, at least one of the roles will be best suited for an applicant who can work at the interface of applied and pure mathematics.
